SSVJ COUNTER RC-IED FORCE PROTECTION

Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RC-IED) have proven to be among the most deadly devices used during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. These devices are cheap, easy to build, and quick to deploy. The SSVJ works by blocking the controlling signal sent to the bomb from the remote control device, while preserving blue force communications. SSVJ protects against today’s threats and is field programmable to insure protection against tomorrows threats. SSVJ provides proven protection against current threats for single vehicle applications. These units are inexpensive enough to outfit every vehicle deployed providing coverage not only to large convoys but also to the 2 and 3 vehicle groups that are under increasing under attack.
